The Leadership Camp conducted last term involving our Year 7's was a great success.

The children have commented most favourably about the experience, the challenging activities and the variety of tasks and opportunities they were involved in.

The success of the camp was entirely due to your clear expectations, planning and organisation, Carol. Thank you for ensuring our students received top quality experiences which I know will be a highlight of their last year of Three Springs Primary School.

The benefits of this camp should not be underestimated. I believe our Year 7 students are more committed, confident and responsible as a result of the camp.

I want to record our thanks for the competent way you and your people looked after us last weekend. I particularly want to compliment you all for the friendly and cooperative spirit which was evident at all times.

It will be some time before the Presbytery again meets in Geraldton, but you may be sure we will be looking no further than the Geraldton Camp School for accommodation.

In the meantime, I will be recommending to all the congregations in the Presbytery that if they are contemplating a family camp that they consider using your facilities.

Over the years I have been to many seminars, often in expensive hotels. While your facilities may not be 'five star' the support, standard of food and equipment was excellent.

Dear Mrs Hamilton,

Thank you for letting us stay at the Geraldton Camp School. Everyone really enjoyed staying there. We especially liked rafting, dinner time and the beach activities. These helped us work as a team. This also helped me to take on the role as councillor because it taught me how to do public speaking.

The camp also gave me an opportunity to mix with other people from other schools. It was great to meet new friends. The leadership camp is going to help me to work as a group member at our school. This is because of all of the trust activities, public speaking and the problem solving activities that I completed.

I really appreciate your efforts organising the camp for us.

TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITY

Congratulations to you and your staff for the manner in which you tailored activities to promote the sense of 'team' and 'trust' amongst the staff at Bluff Point Primary School and catered for our morning tea and lunch.

Despite the prospect of some untidy weather the mornings activities and BBQ lunch set the scene for enhanced interaction between staff members, a number of whom rarely get to see some other members of staff.

The activities we undertook were well selected to meet the goals of the session, required clear communication, necessitated that participants worked as a team and fostered a trust between team members.

Thanks again for hosting our team-building session.

Dear Carol,

Thank you so much for your hospitality and assistance during our stay at the camp school. The UWA students were most impressed with the school and it's facilities and the way you managed the myriad of demands on your time.

I was also most grateful for your generous feedback on the student team organising the Kojonup evening. Student teachers are in a somewhat limbo zone between student and teacher - usually as apprentices assigned to master teachers on prac. They don't often receive much opportunity to show their diverse strengths nor do they receive much credit when they do show initiative so your generous feedback was most gratefully received. It was a great morale booster for the group who had spent six days of discovering a myriad of situations for which they were probably feeling most under prepared.

It has been gratifying to see the growth in their enthusiasm to teach in rural and remote schools as a result of the field trip and I hope it can be repeated in future years. Thank you again for your input.
