CAMP SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

Aimed to improve co-operation, communication, teamwork, trust, self-esteem and problem solving skills. Mostof these activities are facilitated by the Camp School staff with your staff's assistance. The Camp Manager possesses current Bronze Medallion, Surf Rescue and Senior First Aid qualifications. The Education Assistants have current Surf Rescue and Senior First Aid. All other staff possess current Senior First Aid qualifications

Bike Tour



 

 


Bike Rides
25 Bikes are available for bike education or town trips.Incorporates a tour along the new foreshore devleopment to new water park & playground.

Fishing
GCS has 12 x 6'6" rods available for use. Chapman River is catch & return. Drive to Maritime Musuem Jetty, Pt Moore Beach or Seperation Point Beach and try and catch whiting and herring. GCS may available to help teach and be lifeguards depends on time required.

Problem Solving Activities
Many challenging and fun based activities designed to promote and improve positive communication skills, lateral thinking and teamwork between small and large groups

Marine Madness
A series of fun team based beach games and activities centred on improving cooperation and encouragement amongst team members
 
Outdoor Education Activities

  • orienteering

Rafting
Team activity where each group is given materials to construct a raft. This activity can take place at Greenough River, St Georges beach, Pages beach, or Town beach. Each group paddle around designated markers hopefully with the raft still intact. Then enjoy a well earned morning tea or lunch.

Sports
We can cater for games and competitions in most major sports on our oval, basketball court and tennis court. 

Tabloids Students work in small teams and rotate around a number of challenging activities that involve target throwing, coordination tasks, running, throwing and scoring points. 

Treasure Hunt (Batavia Bluff)
Team cooperation activity involving orienteering, solving cryptic and challenging puzzles and reading maps. Work together to find the hidden treasure, then make decisions about what to do with the treasure.

Walks
Locations include: * Beach walk - South Gates to Greenough * Kalbarri Coastal Gorge lookouts & the famous   "Natures Window" *Devlins Pool, Greenough River and the Chapman River.

Wet & Wild
Team games at its best. Learn to cooperate with your fellow team members whist sliding along very slippery black plastic. Great opportunity to get students wet and not have to worry about water-based supervision numbers.
