STRAND 1,2,3,4,& 5:  WORKING SCIENTIFICALLY

Students use the skills of scientific investigation, reflection and analysis to prepare a plan. Then collect, process and interpret data. Communicate their conclusions and understandings to a range of audiences and purposes. Students understand. make decisions, apply and evaluate their scientific knowledge as a part of their everyday life.

Possible activities:

  • Science activities - recording information and observing change in the environment
  • Problem solving i.e. leverage

STRAND 8: LIFE & LIVING

Students understand their own biology and that of other living things, and recognise the interdependence of life.

 Possible activities: 
  • Environmental science activities
  • Farming & fishing industries
  • Marine activities i.e. snorkelling
